Business Analyst

You will be working in a large scale development environment delivering robust software products utilized in big telecommunications projects. This is a challenging role which spans across a range of technologies. You have to be keen to learn and enjoy working in a team environment.

You may need to travel overseas to take part in presales activities or implementation projects for short periods of time.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand the functionality and business application of the existing software solution in detail.
• Document customer specific, or generic business processes.
• Review customer requirements and document them in system.
• Review Solution Design prepared by project architect.
• Advise changes against current functionality or available work around.
• Understand industry standards and typical solutions provided by competition.
• Write Functional Specifications.
• Follow through software development lifecycle.
• Review test cases.
• Follow defect tracking process.
• Be in close contact with development team, and project manager.
• Be the single point of contact for software enhancements for specific projects.
• Help project managers in progress review and administration of large scale development projects, or project manage small and medium scale product enhancements.

Mandatory

• 5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience in Telco OSS or similar
• Excellent communication skills
• Engineering Degree, IT Degree or equivalent
• Sound understanding of UML
• Sound understanding of data modeling
• Ability to operate in a difficult customer relations environment
• Very flexible and enthusiastic
• Strong customer focus.
