Development Manager

Our client is a leading developer of carrier grade Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Network Management Systems (NMS) in Australia, with clients in Australia and throughout Asia.

We are seeking an exceptional Development Manager to help build a world class development organization containing some of Australia’s best talent.

You will be a blend of exceptional people manager and experienced project manager well versed with all aspects of the SDLC and with Project management methodologies. You need to be able to travel overseas for short periods of time.

You will be leading up to 15 staff including software developers, business analysts and technical writers across a number of teams, all based in Sydney.  The teams cover new product development, sustaining activities, and the final layer of customer support.

Mandatory
• Extensive Experience in staff development, hiring, motivating, and performance management.
• Experience in project management, particularly within a project management methodology
• Experienced with Source control and release management
• Working knowledge of.Net, Java, Oracle technologies, and middleware
• At least 10 years in the industry with at least 3 as a software development manager, directly managing at least 10 staff.
• Information Technology Degree or similar.

Highly Desirable
• Experience working with Microsoft MFS framework
• Experience with Network Management and Operational Support Systems
• Experience in the Telco industry.
• Formal project management accreditation
